Farad Hassan

Born 2156.

Hassan was born into a Rank-3 Exotech Household on Earth where the Hassan and Sharipov Households shared power at the top of their Rank-3 corporation.

Multiple marriages bound the Hassan and Sharipov Households.

As the youngest in the household, Hassan had the freedom to seek a “career” outside household need.

His older siblings were bound to corporate posts that secured their household standing.

Hassan chose to join the Starguild Armed Forces.

He wanted to be a pilot.

Or at least get off-world to wield, rather than produce, advanced technology.

2174, Hassan applied for starfleet flight school but was not accepted.

But he was accepted as a starfleet technician candidate and began training.

Each year he applied to flight school without success.

Each year he honed hand-eye coordination skills, physical conditioning, and scholastics.

2178, he excelled as a technician and graduated fully qualified to support gravships and starships (22 YO).

Stuck on Earth servicing gravships he continued to apply to flight school without success.

2180, he won a post on an orbital shipyard (24 YO).

He applied to flight school without success.

But at least he was off-world; not far off, but a step up.

He was determined to get a technical post aboard a starship cruiser.

2181, he applied to flight school and was finally accepted (25 YO).

He graduated a fully qualified gravship and starship pilot (28 YO) a few years later.

His extensive technician expertise qualified him as a tricore pilot.

Tricore have very small crews and the pilot must also be the ship’s primary technician.

Very few qualify as tricore pilots, but there are only a handful of tricore.

He was posted as pilot on an Exotech cruiser patrolling the New Eden trunk line.

Hassan is reacquainted with Zabit Sharipov’s family while serving on the New Eden trunk line.

Zabit was Hassan’s childhood inspiration, the eldest child who became the black sheep of his generation.

Zabit was to marry Hassan’s eldest sister.

Instead, he abandoned corporate life and ran off to Legion Academy.

2190, Hassan was at Earth on leave visiting his parents when his ship was scrambled.

Hassan arrived onboard to find the ship commandeered by the Imperial Secret Service (ISS).

The cruiser became the flagship of an assembling taskforce, Lieutenant Cambronne in overall command.

Hassan got to know Cambronne on the months-long chase that ran down Eldan Abon-Kar.

Cambronne requests Hassan as pilot for his first command, a newly commissioned tricore, Starguild Imperial Ship Charlatan.
