Dwayne Richter

Born 2156.

Richter was born and raised on Earth while the caste system was being imposed (2156 to 2166).

A younger son in a Landcaste family, his transitional generation enjoyed more social freedom than later generations.

Richter grew up with both Landcaste and Starcaste children.

Richter had a very powerful built and was a natural bully.

An aspiring Landcaste youth, he learned to harness his natural tendencies to the service of the powerful.

Starcaste schoolmates accepted Richter as their enforcer and he excelled at that role.

His physical / mental capacity, combined with Starcaste patronage secured entry to a starforce academy (2173; 17 YO).

A Landcaste youth, Richter was not eligible for officer training school, and he was separated from his Starcaste childhood-mates shortly after 130-day basic training.

He was on a different track and would graduate as a starmarine years ahead of the officers.

Richter had always been trouble, and without keepers, he ran afoul and was expelled (late 2174).

Antixs, a marshal house always looking for talent, offered him sanctuary and whisked him off world.

Richter never graduated and this would forever limit his mobility in the official Starguild.

He found himself in the Alenx system as an Antixs recruit in early 2175.

He thrived on the independence that came with off-world deployment and completed masters training in 2178: qualifying with weapons of war, outlawed weaponry, and espionage gear.

Richter had planned to return to Earth to hook up with his Starcaste mates, but when the time came, he found he had progressed beyond them and could never go back to being a lackey.

Antixs had taught him to serve himself.

He had a successful career as an Antixs mercenary, but could not see himself as a simple mercenary pursuing wealth.

Richter felt compelled to return to Earth convinced he would find himself.

Richter arrived on Earth and met with Captain Norwich, the officer who sent him to Antixs.

Having proven himself with Antixs, Norwich put him on the inside track into the ISS.

Richter joined Cambronne’s team in 2189 and was with Cambronne when they ran down Eldan Abon-Kar.

Cambronne and he are tied up in court with the Abon-Kar case until 2192.

Once Cambronne and Richter were free of the Abon-Kar court case, Cambronne was promoted to captain and given his own command.

Cambronne recruited Richter to his team.
