Rift Altar

Blades gather at fixed sites focused around an altar.

Altars are carved from much larger stone outcrops (obsidian or other igneous rock) by neolithic stone processing techniques like flint knapping.

Altars come in many sizes and shapes but all have a central spire surrounded by thirteen lesser points.

Altars accumulate Blade sacrificial energy to open a Rift.

Blades believe that activating a Rift Altar will give them access to primal powers that will let them finally prevail in the ancient war.

To date, no Blade cabal has succeeded in activating a Rift Altar.
