2175 CE: Bayat was a Rank-7 Conferred Guild Conglomerate (under Imperial regulation after 2176)

Cofounding member of the Independent Exploration Consortium that developed the Nimbus trunk line; wherein Bayat and Maecenas did the heavy lifting: Maecenas colony site discovery, survey, and transportation;

Bayat orbital infrastructure: orbital shipyards and orbital raw material processing.

Orbital processing precedes and then enables ground infrastructure development.

Bayat moved its headquarters and top three apex corporations to Whalen’s Reach to work with Maecenas.

Their long-term plan, find and develop a Class-1 earthlike planet once the ban on exploration was lifted.

2175, half of Bayat’s 3 apex corporate populations on Whalen’s Reach left the Starguild leaving 98% of the conglomerate behind.

The Starguild Council put the conglomerate under Imperial scrutiny determined to root out traitors.

Those left behind felt betrayed, its leadership having abandoned them to face Council wrath.

This made it easy for the Imperium to purge anti-guild rebels and promote pro-guild zealots.

Unwilling to break up an efficient and productive conglomerate, Bayat reemerged in 2180.

The conglomerate remains under Imperial regulation.
