Born 2147.

Earthborn to a Landcaste family that immigrated to the penal world of Newport, as Landcaste guards (2159).

There were no castes on Newport; there were guards and there were exiles.

Exiles worked under hazardous conditions to develop the colony and died by the score.

Desmoni grew up as a dependent in a guard family (12 to 18 YO).

He considered himself the ruling class.

Competent and politically astute, Desmoni earned an academic scholarship to finish his education on Earth, where he struggled with academics and decided on a military career, landing a place in an adjunct legion academy.

Desmoni was in academy when he met Clara.

Clara Salisu’s father was CEO of a Rank-4 Itinerant Subcon on Dedico.

Her family objected, but she had her way and they were married.

Her family had Desmoni elevated into a Rank-3 Starcaste corporation within their conglomerate.

Desmoni graduated a Rank-3 Starcaste officer in the Starguild Armed Forces.

Clara and Armand shared good years on Dedico working close to her family (2173 to 2180).

2180, Clara traveled to Newport to visit Desmoni’s parents and adopt a child.

That was the year Newport began conversion from a penal world to colony.

Children born to exiles (Derelict casteless exiles) created unresolved caste issues.

These children must be adopted by Starcaste, join their families on the next penal world, or became Newport Bondsmen.

Clara was killed in a freak dropship accident on Newport (2181).

Clara’s death ended Desmoni’s career on Dedico and he found himself on New Eden (2183).

This seemed the end of the road for an ambitious officer, but he had made colonel.

As Commandant of the Web, he could comfortably ride out his time awaiting retirement.

2194, Desmoni is a Rank-4G Starcaste officer in the Starguild Armed Forces (43 YO).
