====== Neemis Enterprises ====== 2194 CE: still stalks the frontier primarily along the Grendel / Kronos branch line Neemis Enterprises began as an earth-based commercial entertainment enterprise offering over-the-top and violent venues like Brutal-Vision that became an overnight commercial success. Neemis Enterprises used its cash and the recession preceding the 1st Corporate Wars to buy starships and military hardware from failing corporations; violent entertainment sponsored a starfaring renegade. Mark Heisson used Neemis Enterprises escapades (gunrunning, lethal combat drugs, piracy) to propose a mandate demanding all off-world elements submit to the Starguild Conventions. This targeted Neemis Enterprises, the only star-tech faction that had refused to sign the Starguild Conventions. Provoked and drawn into conflict, Neemis Enterprises attacked five Starguild holdings on its way to Earth: Heisson Aeronautics Research Center on Ancell, Gaylord House on Gator, Starguild Reeducation Center on Caulder, the Starguild Detention Block on New Eden, and Chilborn House, also on New Eden. Finally arriving at Earth, Neemis Enterprises attacked the Starguild See on the manmade isle of Elysium. Mark Heisson used these atrocities to justify formation of the Imperium, an independent military coalition drawn from a military tithe of Starguild members. The Imperium’s first task was elimination of Neemis Enterprises. Defeated and on the run (2155), Neemis Enterprises retreated to the frontier. The victorious Starguild confiscated Neemis Enterprises business operations and home system of Croist. This left Neemis Enterprises free to became a full-time piratical enterprise.
