====== Whalen's Reach ======

Class-2 world discovered 4-2146.

Initially called the Reach, as it was at the end of the exploration line, the system was later renamed Whalen’s Reach in honor of Professor Zachary Whalen.

Maecenas HQ and apex tier corporations reside on the planet of White Seed (with only one developed world, White Seed is often also called Whalen’s Reach).

Considered an earthlike world, it has near ideal gravity, fair solar conditions, and breathable atmosphere, albeit, with lower than ideal oxygen (Earth 3,500 meters).

It would have been an ideal world if the average temperature were 6 to 10 degrees higher.

To date, it remains a nearly ice-locked planet with open water restricted to the equator (ocean makes up 73% of the equatorial zone, but only 25% of the planets surface).

Terraforming was the long-term plan to break ice-lock, and the colony of New Lhasa in the equatorial highlands was focused on this effort (2157).
